14 Weekends of Summertime!!!!

Today I am proud to announce that I have officially jumped head first into summer. Ahhhh the three B’s…….Beach, BBQ’s, and Baseball. I just got back from from a Red Sox game at Fenway Park, so I can already tell this is going to be a great on. 2

I am a third generation Floridian so some might scoff at my thrill for summertime, thinking it impossible to compare my love for the season to someone say from Chicago. But I just have to say, I Love It….Can’t Get Enough of it. The pool at a perfect 84 degrees, the white butterfly’s twirling about, the beach volleyball boys in their O’Neill Board Shorts, an ice cold Corona and lime….ahhhhhhh….summer.

This summer, considering it is my last summer in my 20’s, I am going to make sure it is every bit as fantastic and perilous as possible. This summer I am going to throw caution to the wind and let life take me for a ride. I am aware that this fantasy might manifest itself in ways I could soon be regretting, but nevertheless, off I go. There are a few things on my list, accomplishment wise, that need to get taken care of in the meantime. Upon which I will inform you when completed.

1) Land a full time teaching position for fall …already looking good 🙂

2) Finally get off that pesky 15 that lingers on so.

3) Take a creative writing course, learn how to surf, complete 18 holes of golf, and finally…..put a date on my “Adventures with Nicholas Sparks” vacation.  To all of you….and you know who you are…that are attending that one….I know my demands are high and extravagant but fear not…if you do not have the large white floppy hat, one will be provided for you.

I have been for the past year trying to plan a road trip to The Outer Banks with my girlfriends. Although not all of them are thrilled about it…TO BAD. You are going and you are going to LIKE IT! There will be Shag dancing and crab shacking ,and then of course we will all find a “message in a bottle” on the beach and live happily ever after. 🙂 🙂 🙂 It’s possible.

So, at any rate, I am thrilled for the summer. To bad the song doesn’t sound right without the 6…..”It was the summer of 09′ “….yea not so much.

So to all you crabs stuck in the sand….break free….it’s SUMMERTIME !!!!!
