Is 45 the new 25?

In Hollywood, age is not only a number but a status. It controls all aspects of the business and is becoming more considered a discriminatory factor. It is no secret that when it comes to aging men and women live on two separate spheres. For the most part as men get older their expressions tend to get more intense, they usually thicken up a little in the mid section, and the “scruffy” appearance is now considered an asset; all the while making them more seductive to women.

Lets take Sean Connery for example

No women in there right mind can say the man does not put the S in SEXY. The intimidation factor of the younger Sean might make a woman uncomfortable or inferior. Add in 30 years, a beard, and a “let me tell you a great story” expression and BINGO.

Now to my point

Women on the other hand tend to be on the opposite end of this spectrum. As a women ages all of the desirable traits and qualities become hazed. The softness of her face, the tightness of her ass and the elasticity of her breasts. All the while making her less desirable to men. HOWEVER. I am hear to say that this phenomenon has taken a turn in the other direction. Women are now taking ownership of their age. They are embracing their body’s and mind’s and subconsciously exhibiting that wherever they go. That confidence has manifested itself into a kind of beauty that you cannot have at 25. Some of the most talented and “beautiful” women in Hollywood did not have that recognition when they were in their 20’s. Sure they were cute, but what they have now is so much more alluring and fascinating.

 Michelle Pfeiffer

That was her when she was 18 and 20 years old.

This is her at 50

I mean lets face it when you are beautiful at 18 chances are you will still be

at 50.

But not always

My point is that I am sick of this stigma that pushes the idea that women are automatically less appealing with age. If you take care of yourself, exercise, eat right, have lots or sex, and essentially live your life HAPPY! The amount of wisdom and finesse you have gained on top of all your foresight and experience will not only make you more beautiful inside, but out as well.

So ladies. Embrace age. Relish in it. Don’t look at is as a curse but a blessing.

If you’ve got it flaunt it and if you don’t create it
